Bowel Cancer

Bowel Cancer is the second most common form of cancer in New Zealand. If detected early, Bowel Cancer is curable so it is important to know the signs and talk to your GP as soon as you have any symptoms. 

Haemorrhoids

Most people experience Haemorrhoids at some stage and most clear up with little intervention. Haemorrhoids that don’t clear up may require a visit to your doctor and in some cases, minor surgery called banding.

Rectal Bleeding

Rectal Bleeding can be a symptom of many conditions like Hemorrhoids, Colitis (inflammation of the bowel) and Diverticular Disease. There are many diagnostic tools to determine the cause of Rectal Bleeding. 

Inflammatory Bowel

Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) is a generic term used to describe prolonged inflammation of the digestive tract. Conditions like Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s Disease are types of Inflammatory Bowel Disease.   

Functional Bowel Disorder

Functional Bowel Disorder (or FBD) is when where there is a problem with how your stomach and bowels function. Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Functional Dyspepsia are examples of Functional Bowel Disorder.

Benign Anorectal Conditions

Gallstones
